Along his life as a post graduating student, engineer Cássio Barbosa presented several works in conferences and journals on Metallurgy and Materials Science, and in May 14 th 1999 presented his first international work, with title "Microstructural Aspects of Extruded and Flash Welded Aluminum Alloys", at the conference "International Conference Light Alloys and Composites", carried out in Zakopane, Poland, from 13 th to 16 th May 1999. His first article published in an international journal, "Identification of Precipitates in 6013 Aluminum Alloy (Al-Mg-Si-Cu)", was published in the German journal Zeitschrift für Metallkunde in March, 2002.
